With the conjunction of traditional goldsmithing and jewellery techniques, ethically sourced precious gemstones and recycled Australian silver & gold, each piece of jewellery is designed with intention and handmade with care in limited quantities.
Drawing inspiration from a love of mythology, nature and folklore, while working with the seasons, each piece of Aradia Designs explores the symbolism and themes of these age-old stories to create quality jewellery with a personality.
About the Artist
My name is Madeline and I am a Melbourne-based goldsmith and artist working from my private studio in Brunswick on traditional Bulleke-bek land.
A lifetime in the arts led me to work as a visual merchandiser for an international luxury jewellery brand in 2013. This is where I discovered my love for the traditional art of goldsmithing, I quickly understood what I wanted to dedicate my life to and chose to undertake formal studies as a manufacturing goldsmith, stone setter and jewellery designer in Melbourne, Australia.
Since then, I have worked professionally as a jeweller, as well as in consultancy, design and gemstone procurement for bespoke jewellery brands by working closely with specialty Australian gemmologists and artisanal gem cutters, while furthering my studies in gemmology and jewellery history.
